The 74 year history of our family business was built on general restorative dentistry. We are very proud to continue that tradition with a series of affordable restorations with guaranteed two week turnaround time.  Guaranteed two week turn around is offered on select restorations, including full contour pressed e.max crowns, porcelain fused to zirconia crowns, full contour /all zirconia crowns, full cast gold crowns, and porcelain fused to metal crowns. These posterior restorations have an all inclusive price of $195/unit. This fee includes model work, alloy, connections, and shipping. Specific details for each type of restorations are provided. We take such pride in these restorations that the President of Bay View Dental Lab, Buddy Shafer, is personally responsible for each and every general dentistry case.

• Full Contour Pressed e.max

  Pressed full contour all-ceramic crowns provide your best choice for strong, metal free, and very esthetic posterior restorations. The case is waxed and pressed full contour with Ivoclar’s e.max ingots, providing a strong, fracture resistant restoration with perfect marginal integrity. The high translucency lithium disilicate material allows natural tooth color to show through and picks up chameleon effects from the prep and adjacent teeth. We recommend a modified shoulder bur type margin design, and delivery with 3M’s RelyX Unicem 2 material. *Using a flat shoulder or chamfer bur for margins provide best results.*

• Porcelain to Zirconia

  The best possible restoration for posterior bridgework, combining the strength of zirconia for the frame, with excellent esthetics from the layered porcelain. Layered zirconia restorations are esthetically exceptional and have shown a lower failure and fracture rate than either metal-ceramic or metal-free ceramic restorations. These are excellent restorations for any posterior units, particularly for small bridges and splinted units. *Using a modified shoulder bur for margins provide best results.*

• Porcelain to Metal

  An exciting and high-tech upgrade to traditional metal-ceramics; these restorations feature an amazing new technology called direct metal laser sintering to create the metal copings, saving time, money and alloy. These restorations are indicated anywhere traditional metal ceramics are preferred and may be traditionally cemented. *Using a modified shoulder bur for margins provide best results.*

• Full Contour Zirconia Restorations

  These restorations provide the strongest and most fracture resistant, tooth colored material available in dentistry today. When a full cast gold crown is contraindicated due to cost or color, this is an excellent alternative you can prescribe with total confidence. These restorations can be conventionally cemented. *Using a modified shoulder bur for margins provide best results.*

• Full Cast Restorations

  While cast gold restorations may be a lost art in most labs, it remains alive and well at Bay View. In fact we still do many full cast gold crowns each day.
