We are proud to be associated with the AACD since its inception more than 40 years ago. Buddy Shafer, CDT, was one of the first technician members and our Master ceramist extraordinaire, Shoji Suruga, CDT, AAACD, was not only one of the first technicians in the country to become accredited, but he is the only one in the country holding accreditation in the AACD for esthetics, as well as The Dawson Academy for functional esthetics (Accredited Dawson Academy Technician). His knowledge of function and esthetics stands unmatched in dentistry. Shoji's work can be seen in print or from the podium on almost any given week somewhere around the country. We have a long-standing history of support for the AACD, through the annual meetings, the Give Back a Smile Program, hosting Advanced Accreditation Workshops, and supporting the accreditation process for AACD members. Our exceptional team of ceramists here at Bay View has helped dozens of doctors achieve their dream of Accreditation in the AACD.
